Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the fully-remastered PC version of the classic skateboarding video game series, Tony Hawk's. Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision, this action-packed sports game is a bundle containing Pro Skater and Pro Skater 2, released in 1999 and 2000 respectively. This time, the graphics have been completely revamped in HD. However, it’s still the same two critically-acclaimed titles fans have always loved.

The whole Tony Hawk’s series is a long-running line of skateboarding video games endorsed and named after American professional skateboarder, Tony Hawk. The franchise originally started in gaming consoles but eventually branched out to PC and mobile platforms. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was the first game and you complete missions by performing skateboarding tricks and collecting objects. You can control a variety of famous skateboarders and there are 4 game modes available.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is the sequel, improving the graphics and the gameplay with additional new mechanics. You get to play as professional skateboarders again and even fictional ones. This time, however, there are now 5 game modes you can access: Career Mode, Multiplayer, Free Skate, Simple Session, and Level Editor. The Level Editor allows you to design your own skate park using over 100 pieces and a variety of pre-built park bases.
Not only is Pro Skater 1 + 2 a remaster in 4K resolution, but it also brings back its original roster of popular skateboarders—with their ages and looks updated to their current ones. Tony Hawk and his colleagues are now in their 40s and 50s but they’re still flipping their boards. It also brings back some original soundtracks, locations, and game modes—with local 2-Player mode, online multiplayer, and the upgraded Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater features.

Overall, it seems like this dual-title collection is meant for old fans of the series. There are only a few minor changes in terms of gameplay, as the classic tricks and combos have been retained. However, it’s still a great addition to the franchise, especially with its stunning visual upgrade. The fact that the original cast of characters returned and have been updated is also a heartwarming reunion for any old fan playing the game.
